Ginlong Technologies or also called Solis is a China-based solar inverter manufacturing company. Solis solar was founded in 2005 by Yiming Wang based in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China.

Ginlong(Solis) Technoligies is one of the string solar inverter manufacturers. Ginlong's solar inverter solutions are used in the residential, commercial and industrial segments, typically up to installations no larger than 2 MW. Solis' product range has a production capacity of 20GW by 2020.

Yiming Wang, founder of Ginlong (Solis) Technologies, founded the solar inverter supplier in 2005, headquartered in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, with other branches. The company is now listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and is one of the fastest growing inverter companies.

Solis solar inverters are manufactured and designed in China and have different characteristics. Single-phase solar inverters, three-phase solar inverters and chargers are the main products produced by Solis. The single-phase solar inverters have an output of 700W to 10KW in alternating current, the three-phase inverters have an output of 3kW to 255kW and the inverter chargers allow power supply even when there is a power failure. Solis products have been distributed and installed in more than 100 countries.

Within the different Solis products we can find the following lines. The solar inverters of the Mini line have a power range from 0.7 to 3.6 kW nominal. They are single MPPT, lightweight and compact grid-tie inverters for small residential installations. The Solis S6 series offers solar inverters from 2.5kW to 6kW nominal power. This family of solar inverters features 2 MPPT's with maximum current per string up to 14A and also includes arc flash protection.

Alternatively, if you wish to use solar inverters with battery charging and discharging capabilities, Solis offers the RHI line with power ratings ranging from 3 to 6 kW. This line allows to work with 48V lead lithium batteries, which makes them very practical for residential solar installations. In addition, these inverters allow the back-up function which allows the solar installation to operate without the need of the grid. This line of inverters has Wifi communications, dynamic management of the BMS (Battery Management System) and access to the Solis application for monitoring and comprehensive management of the system.

Solis not only manufactures high quality inverters with a wide range of functionalities for the residential sector, but also has product lines for higher power ratings with more focus on the commercial and industrial segments.  For small/medium installations we can find the S5 and 3P series, three-phase with nominal powers from 3 to 20 kW. This family of Solis inverters accepts up to 16 amps per MPPT (2 are available).

From here we can find other types of higher power inverters more dedicated to rooftop installations in the commercial and industrial segments. These are inverters ranging from 20 kW to 110kW in their different families.

Solis, unlike other manufacturers, provides larger string inverters to provide a solution for large solar plants (Utility scale). For this purpose Solis has developed inverters from 215 to 250kW.
