It is not recommended. Cars designed for AGM technology have very demanding load processes that an EFB battery may not support long-term. However, it is possible to replace a conventional battery or EFB for a AGM to improve durability and performance.

What do the dimensions mean (long x wide x high) in the tables?

It is essential to measure the hollow of your current battery before buying. FQS uses European standards (such as boxes L2, L3 or L5). Make sure the measurements (eg. 278x175x190 mm for a 70AH model) match the available space in your vehicle.

Do the FQS batteries come ready to install?

Yes, all of ours fQS Batteries they are supplied with full load and ready for immediate use. They do not require filled with electrolyte or previous manipulations.

Can I use a battery FQS boot for my solar installation?

The FQS batteries of the tourism ranges, EFB and AGM are designed to give a lot of power in a few seconds (starting an engine). Although they can be used in small solar low consumption applications, for self-consumption or insulated installations we recommend our specific categories of Lithium batteries or Carbon lead, prepared for deep daily downloads.

What is the difference between EFB and AGM?

The AGM is totally tight and supports deeper downloads, while the EFB is an improved flooded battery. If your car came with factory AGM, never you must go down to EFB. If it came with EFB, you can upload AGM to improve performance.

Do you require any maintenance?
