The State of Charge (SoC) indicates how much energy remains. Although lithium allows deep discharges, it is recommended to configure the inverter to leave a margin of 10-20% (DoD). This acts as a safety buffer for the cells, preventing the battery from entering a state of deep discharge from which it cannot recover.

2. Inverters

2.1 General Questions about Inverters
- Off-Grid Inverters: Used in systems without grid access. They generate their own 50 Hz network and are usually hybrid, allowing batteries for night supply.
- Grid-Tied Inverters: Synchronized with the public grid. Without grid presence they don't operate. Main goal is savings through immediate self-consumption or surplus injection.
- Hybrid Inverters: The most versatile. They allow battery connection in both off-grid and grid-connected systems. Grid-connected hybrid models can manage battery charge/discharge and, in many cases, provide emergency backup if the main supply fails.
Microinverters eliminate the 'single point of failure'; if one unit fails, the rest of the installation continues producing. They also optimise the individual output of each panel, making them the ideal solution for rooftops with partial shade or multiple orientations.
It means the unit has two independent maximum power point trackers. This allows connecting up to two strings (rows of panels) with different conditions (orientation or tilt) without the performance of one affecting the other.
No damage will occur as long as the voltage and short-circuit current (Isc) are within the inverter's limits. However, the inverter will cap the input current to its maximum admissible value, so the panel's peak generation will be slightly clipped during peak radiation hours.

3. Solar Panels

To prevent surpluses from going to the grid, you must install a Smart Meter (energy meter) compatible with your inverter. This device is placed at the start of the electrical installation and “informs” the inverter to adjust production in real time according to the home's consumption. Some hybrid inverters already include a current transformer (CT) for this function.
If when trying to register your plant you get a “module already registered” or “SN in use” message, it may have been previously tested or require a factory reset.
